How To Beat The Insecurity Of Being A Novice

We are all novices in one domain or another.
I have made a serious commitment to hit the gym on a consistent basis recently and have been going a few times a week.
I have always been athletic and on top of my health since it is my most important value, but I will admit that I do have an underlying insecurity when it comes to training in a public environment.
Admittedly, I hate going to the gym because I am inexperienced within the gym and learning how to become comfortable with inexperience is something that I am still understanding on a daily basis.
It could very well be the fact that I’m just not used to it and am still a novice, yet it is still there to be conquered.
I really want to take my physique to the next level and will do so, regardless of how I feel about going to the gym.
My personal growth is much more important to me than a short term, transient emotional state.
