The Chase For Greatness In A Pill

I was in the middle of watching a new Netflix documentary called Take Your Pills when I got inspired to write about this topic but within a larger context. I highly suggest giving that documentary a watch because it will shock you, just as it shocked me.

The Awe Of “Perfection”

We all admire people who have achieved a level of mastery in whatever domain we like whether that be a Mozart, Kobe Bryant, Ernest Hemingway, so on and so forth. The admiration for these masters of their craft seems to stem from our own ambitions and aspirations in life. We want to exemplify and embody “perfection” at it’s most sophisticated level and achieve a state of flow with life in general really.

This is an obsession that I personally resonate with because I have always wanted to be at the top of my game in life. I have always had this fantasy of becoming a master in all areas of my life and I am consistently working to that goal knowing that there is no end destination in this work. It’s a matter of personal growth and personal development for me.

The awe that comes with “perfection” has an unseen side though. Behind the mask of the master is years of sacrifice — money, time…
