The Experiential Hack

Experience is such an essential component to living the good life. Experience is one of the best ways to truly embody a lesson, idea or piece of wisdom because it requires you to throw your whole self into it. It goes beyond thinking or making theories about something and gives you the truest point of view possible.
Once you have experience in something, it gives you an advantage over other people who just talk or think about a subject or activity. They are coming at it from a myopic point of view as opposed to a big picture perspective.

Now, there’s a subtle distinction between experiencing things for yourself and learning from the wisdom and experience of others.
On one hand, you want to have that valuable experience and inevitably we will all acquire experience but, there is a fine line between experiencing things and learning from the experience of others. By learning from the experience of others, you end up saving yourself valuable resources such as time, energy, money, so on and so forth.
