The Psychology of Currency
“The rich invest their money and spend what is left; the poor spend their money and invest what is left.” (Jim Rohn)
The difference between the wealthy and poor is very simple: It’s mindset. It has nothing to do with how or where you were born or whether you came from a wealthy family or a poor family. The mindset is what separates the wealthy from the poor.
“Rich people have small TVs and big libraries, and poor people have small libraries and big TVs.” (Zig Ziglar)
In order to be wealthy, there a fundamental principles that you’ll need to follow:
- Have an investor rather than a consumer mindset — Wealthy people look at the world through the lens of investing and poor people look at the world through the lens of consuming.
- Take extreme ownership instead of being a victim — Wealthy people take 100% responsibility for EVERYTHING in their lives while poor people always blame an external force such as family, the government, so on and so forth.
- Become a creator rather than a user— Wealthy people create things while poor people just use things.
- Invest in yourself — Wealthy people invest in all areas of their lives and realize that they are their most valuable asset while poor people don’t take care of themselves and relinquish their power.
