Why You Must Accept Reality For What It Is

“What is, is exactly what should be.” (Anonymous)

Many people often fall into the trap of making “should” statements.

“Should” statements are defined as the following: These are statements made when you or someone else tells you that you “should” or “shouldn’t” do something.

These statements seem innocent and even good on the surface, but they are actually detrimental to our very quality of life and create a lot of suffering in the process.

Nothing “should” or “should not” happen because by setting these rigid rules, you fundamentally deny reality and accept it for what is.

“People should be selfless.”

“Murder should not exist.”

“Rapists should not exist.”

“I should eat healthier food.”

“My spouse should be more loving to me.”

These are all cartoon versions of reality because they all ignore the fact that all of these things do actually exist and happen on a regular basis.

Just because your ego doesn’t like something doesn’t mean that reality itself should bend to your fucking will.

You live in a fucking fantasy if you think otherwise.
